Replacement Structure/Community Self Build

Due to be submitted to planning spring 2025.

The Peace Oak Association is a community organisation which owns and looks after a two acre field - a village site with mature trees, an orchard, wildflower meadows, a pond, and a small vineyard.

The Association has commissioned us to deliver a co-design project to involve members (and the wider village community and users) in the design of a new shared ‘shed’ on site (replacing a current structure). Following several engagement events and a co-design workshop we have taken all the outcomes/input and developed an initial design to go to pre-app planning.

Depending on the outcome of the pre-app, the next co-design element of the project will be a hands on model making workshop to explore the shape of the building. Following this, we’ll update the scheme and submit full planning. together we’re exploring how elements of the building may be built by the community themselves.
